Beige has got to be the color I most hate on cars. Silver/grey is a close second, with a few exceptions for certain models. (For example the silver G-Class looks pretty good.) Why, Camry people, why?

I think the little double-asterisk there means:
When polled about the color of their car, 96% of Camry drivers responded with, "Huh? Wha- are you talking to me?", while 3% responded by exclaiming that it was "grounded to the ground", before admitting that they showed up at a car dealer and pointed at the most recognizable shape in their immediate field of vision. The last 1% of Camry owners are represented in the following chart.

I really quite like silver/grey on a lot of cars. Boring yes, but I think its usually a pretty handsome color.

It doesn't look bad (unlike beige) but it usually doesn't look great either. It's pretty bland. There are almost always other options that have far more pop and personality. I like it when my car says something about me, maybe that's just me though.
